Healthy Workplace Habits [6/8/2013]
The weather is warmer, the sun is out and fresh air is abundant as we ready ourselves to “swing into summer”.  These are all great motivating factors toward making healthy habits a part of our daily regimen, not only at home but in the workplace, as well. It’s widely understood that good health drives good work performance. With that in mind, some quick tips to remember for practicing a healthier lifestyle while at work: ·         Take walks during your breaks. Involve colleagues as you can mutually motivate and support each other.·         If your workplace is located on an upper floor, take the stairs instead of the elevator.·         Pack healthy snacks (fruits, vegetables) instead of purchasing chips, candy, etc.·         Drink water as it not only keeps you hydrated but also helps to control your cravings.·         If your workplace offers an on-site fitness area with fitness equipment available for use, definitely partake in it.
